• spinning its web of spontaneous harmony over rhythmic grooves

Moving Star is a collective of singers, composers and vocal improvisers who explore the transformative power and expressive possibilities of the human voice through a synthesis of improvisation and composition. The group began singing in 2015 and is in residence at the Weill Music Institute of Carnegie Hall. Moving Star creates immersive, interactive musical experiences in which audiences can participate and co-create, inviting the formation of community through song.
